Family Therapy

What is Family Therapy?
Family therapy is when one or more members of the family unit participate in counseling sessions to address interpersonal and psychological issues within the family.
Family therapy aims to identify patterns and help each family member gain insight to address and resolve issues, improving the overall quality of life.

What is Structural Family Therapy?
Structural Family Therapy (SFT) isdesigned to improve communication and functioning within the family. This type of therapy uses a family organization framework to help identify and address unhealthy patterns of interaction and communication.
I will work with each family member to help them understand their role within the family system and how family dynamics influence relationships. I will provide guidance and direction for family members to learn how to communicate their needs and emotions more effectively, ultimately helping them to work through any conflicts and issues.
The goal of SFT is to create a deeper understanding of the family system and help family members identify and use patterns of behavior that can help resolve conflicts and bring them closer together.
